It was too difficult for Umaro Kamalova to describe her pain.

Her grandson, 15-year-old Foridun Mavlonov, was shot and killed Monday in Bensonhurst.

She spoke with the media ahead of his funeral service Thursday with the help of Brooklyn Councilman Ari Kagan.

“He was always helping everybody. He was peaceful,” Kamalova said through a translator. Police say they don’t believe Mavlonov was the intended target.

According to the NYPD, two teens attending FDR High School’s summer program agreed to settle an argument with a fist fight after school.

Around 1 p.m., two groups of teens were walking on 20th Avenue. That’s when police say a 17-year-old pulled out a gun — firing seven shots at the group Mavlonov was with.

He was struck in the back and taken to Maimonides Hospital, where he died, according to police.

“It’s heartbreaking to the entire neighborhood,” Kagan said.

Kagan, who represents Bensonhurst, says Mavlonov aspired to be a UFC fighter and was a proud member of the Uzbek-American community in Brooklyn.

“He was helping parents. He was a good student, a good sportsman and good person in general; very nice, very generous” Kagan said.

Mayor Eric Adams and NYPD Police Commissioner Edward Caban were seen hugging the teen’s heartbroken father outside a Sunset Park mosque, where family and friends gathered to say goodbye.

“There’s too much pain and despair,” Adams said. The mayor called for an end to gun violence among young people.

“In order to displace the violence, we need to replace it with the worshipers. We must be present in the communities of our children,” Adams said.

No arrests have been made, but police said they know who they are looking for. The family is grieving and hoping for justice.
